Designing a Healthy Eating App
Design and development of a mobile app that helps users build healthy eating habits and track their daily nutrition. The app was created to make healthy living simple and enjoyable — with intuitive design, personalized meal tracking, and insights to support users on their journey toward better health and balanced nutrition.

Challenge
The main challenge was to design an app that allows users to effortlessly plan their meals and snacks while keeping track of their daily nutrition and hydration goals. The goal was to create a platform that combines recipe suggestions, meal scheduling, and grocery list automation — all in one intuitive interface.
Balancing functionality and simplicity was key: users needed to see their daily macronutrient progress (proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and calories) without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, ensuring seamless synchronization between meal planning, grocery tracking, and water intake posed both design and usability challenges.
Results

Process
Research & Analysis: I conducted a competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in existing meal planning and tracking apps.
User Flow & Information Architecture: I created optimized user flows to reduce the number of steps needed to complete key tasks and built an information architecture that connects all main features — meal planning, groceries, and progress tracking — into a logical structure.
Wireframing: I developed low-fidelity wireframes and explained design decisions behind layout and functionality choices to ensure a smooth user experience.
Design System & Final UI: I created a consistent design system including colors, typography, and components, and finalized a clean, intuitive user interface aligned with the overall concept of healthy living.

The Core of Healthy Bites
Calorie & Nutrition Tracker
Another key feature of Healthy Bites is the calorie and macronutrient tracker — giving users the ability to personalize their goals and visualize their progress in a clear, motivating way.
Hydration Tracking
Users can log not only water but also other drinks like juice or coffee.
Each beverage automatically contributes to the daily calorie intake, helping users maintain a realistic overview of their nutrition and hydration habits.

Conclusion
Healthy Bites was more than a design challenge — it was a journey in understanding user motivation and behavior.
I learned how to transform data-heavy functionality into a smooth, emotional experience that keeps users engaged and empowered.
